- Do not misuse the service, overload it, or attempt to bypass usage controls.
- You are responsible for the routes and safety details you create and share.
Safety disclaimer
Outdoor activities involve risk. Route data, weather, and elevation are provided as guidance and can be incomplete or outdated. Always verify conditions, carry appropriate gear, and follow local guidance.
Availability
Service continuity
We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
Changes
Features may evolve. We may update or retire features over time.
Content ownership
You own the routes and notes you create. By saving or sharing routes, you grant us the right to store and display them for you and anyone you share with.
Sharing and public routes
- Public routes are listed in Discover for everyone; shared routes can be opened by anyone with the link.
- Names, waypoint names and notes on public or shared routes must not be offensive. We may remove routes that are.
- Routes are suggestions from map data. Some legs may use alpine paths (exposed or scrambling ground); the app warns when it knows, but always check the route and its grade yourself.
Map data and software
Maps, routes and place names come from OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL), heights from Terrain Tiles, forecasts from MET Norway. RouteCard Maker is built on open-source software. Credits and licences are listed on the Acknowledgements page.
